Our fourth release comes from Souns out of the Sunshine Coast, BC. The original source material comes from a live/improv performance at an event called "environments / 11:11", some years ago on nov 11, at Rahda on Main St. in Vancouver. The event came through inspiration of expanding on the positive energetic potential of the event date and the number. The performance was improvised live using hardware effects, samplers, various audio objects, guitar, and prepared CD's. The remixing and editing of this recording would happen around the same time of year, nov 11, in the years that followed.
"11:11 is a gateway and has the most easy flow for it's potential energy. If you look at the number itself, it's like a river without any rocks, blocks, or curves. There's a bunch of research out there that strikes a chord with me. This piece is an invocation of sorts. It represents the appearance and opportunity of a door or gateway to far off places in space and time. The piece attempts to magnify and reveal that." - souns
